Why AVolution for Google Meet Rooms

For organisations built around Google Workspace, Google Meet hardware turns meeting rooms into an extension of the tools your teams already use every day. As with any video conferencing platform, the difference between a good experience and a frustrating one comes down to the hardware, the acoustics and the network behind it.

As an independent AV integrator, we specify certified Google Meet hardware from partners including Logitech and Neat, matched to your room size and Workspace environment, then install and support it as permanent infrastructure.

Google Meet Rooms That Simply Work

A well-installed Google Meet room should feel effortless: tap to join from the in-room calendar, and be seen and heard clearly by everyone, wherever they are joining from.

Our installations prioritise:

One-tap join for scheduled and instant Google Meet calls
Microphone and speaker coverage tuned to the room
Camera framing that keeps in-room participants clearly visible
Devices that are simple for Workspace admins to manage centrally

How Google Meet Rooms Is Managed

Google Meet hardware runs on ChromeOS, not Windows or Android, which is a genuine point of difference from Teams Rooms and most Zoom Rooms controllers. Devices such as Google’s own Series One kit, built with Lenovo, or third-party ChromeOS meeting hardware are administered through the Google Admin console alongside your existing Chrome device fleet, rather than a separate management platform.

For organisations already on Google Workspace, this generally means a simpler commercial model: meeting room hardware is often licensed as part of your existing Workspace edition rather than needing a standalone per-room subscription, though this depends on your specific plan and device choice, which we confirm during design. Google Meet also supports Companion Mode, letting attendees join a room’s meeting from their own laptop or phone to control camera and captions without taking over the room’s main call, useful in busy hybrid meetings.

FAQs

What hardware works with Google Meet?

Certified Google Meet hardware runs on ChromeOS and is available from partners including Google’s own Series One range and Logitech, ranging from compact all-in-one bars for small rooms to modular camera, microphone and speaker systems for larger spaces.

Can I use Google Meet hardware if we also use Microsoft Teams or Zoom occasionally?

Many Google Meet certified devices also support other platforms, so we can specify hardware that keeps you flexible if your organisation uses more than one video conferencing tool.

How does a Google Meet room integrate with our calendar?

Google Meet hardware integrates directly with Google Workspace calendars, so rooms display live availability and allow one-tap joining of scheduled meetings straight from the room panel.

Is Google Meet hardware suitable for large meeting rooms?

Yes. While compact kits suit huddle spaces well, modular Google Meet systems with additional cameras and microphones are available for boardrooms, training rooms and larger conference spaces.
